Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the shelf-life of your bath bombs?

Try to use your bath bombs in about 6 months. The longer you wait, the more likely it is the bath bomb will be exposed to moisture in the air and lose some of its fizzing power. Both citric acid and baking soda have very long shelf lives, but the citric acid can lose its potency. Their potency is determined by MANY things but the biggest killer of citric acid is moisture in the air. The citric acid will eventually eat up the colour and scent molecules within the bomb…the scent will start to fade and the colour will grow steadily lighter.

Are your products Vegan?

Yes, each of our bath bombs is vegan and we are in the process of certification for our products with the Vegan Society. Once certified (it is a thorough process and takes a few months) we will be able to proudly use the Vegan Trademark on our packaging. The Vegan Trademark is an internationally recognised standard for products that are free of all animal use, in ingredients and testing.

Are your products Cruelty Free?

Every manufacturer in the UK or EU must be cruelty-free by law. That means that any products and/or ingredients used in manufacturing must NEVER have been tested on animals at any time in their production. This came into effect several years ago but became official 3 years ago.

Are your products Gluten-Free?

Yes, each of the bath bombs in the gift box is gluten-free.

Are your products Organic?

Organic ingredients are used whenever possible.

Do you use shrink-wrap on your bath bombs?

Yes, because shrink-wrapping bath bombs individually at the time of production keeps them fresh and active for longer. The shrink wrap used is made from a corn-based polylactic acid (PLA) by ‘EarthFirst’ that is fully biodegradable as opposed to the shrink films made from petrochemicals.
